What is the 30-Day Steps Challenge?

Encourage individuals to enhance their physical activity through daily walking, promoting health and community engagement for 30 consecutive days.

How does the 30-Day Steps Challenge work?

The challenge is designed to encourage individuals to take steps for the following: 1) in honor of a stroke survivor/a memorial to someone who lost their battle to stroke, and 2) enhance their physical activity through daily walking, promoting health and community engagement for 30 consecutive days.

What is the official "Step Into It" gear?

The official gear set includes a custom wristband and headband featuring the name of the Steps Program—all for a $5 donation, with free shipping included. While the gear is not required to join the Steps Challenge, participants who wear it will be featured on our website and social media platforms. Plus, they’ll be eligible to win exciting prizes from NIKE and other top brand apparel.

What is the purpose of the Steps Challenge?

The purpose of the 30-Day Steps Challenge is to inspire individuals to improve their health through daily walking while also creating a powerful movement of hope and remembrance. Participants can walk to strengthen their own heart and body, walk in honor of a stroke survivor who continues to fight every day, or walk in memory of a loved one who lost their battle to stroke. Each step is a tribute to resilience, healing, and the enduring spirit of those impacted by stroke.

Get ready for the Steps Challenge

The 30-Day Walking Steps Challenge with three levels—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—under the #10MillionSteps initiative. The challenge details, rules, and tracking methods are included.

1. Bronze Level

• Daily Goal: 1,000 steps

• Estimated Time: 10 minutes

• Approximate Distance: ¼ mile

2. Silver Level

• Daily Goal: 5,000 steps

• Estimated Time: 1.5 hour

• Approximate Distance: 1.5–2 miles

3. Gold Level

• Daily Goal: 10,000 steps

• Estimated Time: 1 hour 40 minutes

• Approximate Distance: 3–4 miles
